Julie Ehrmantraut’s art combines a boho chic aesthetic with a love of symbolism and pattern, and her boho phone case designs make.
With diverse influences ranging from Georgia O’Keefe to Banksy, it’s clear Ehrmantraut isn’t afraid to break the mold but also honors the greats that have come before her. Her boho phone case artwork retains that free spirit.
Ehrmantraut’s art possesses a timelessness due to an elegant use of classic patterns and symbols, including mandala and henna designs. These pieces pop off the cases but also show a respect for tradition. Similarly, Ehrmantraut’s exclusive phone case artwork brings a modern edge with a elegant touch through tastefully radiant gradients and color.
“Boho,” the artist told us (interview below), plays a role in her artistic inspiration. Boho or boho chic is more or less a state of mind. Creativity, self-expression, and following your own path–that’s boho. Effortless but gorgeous is the goal.
These cases absolutely accomplish that goal. There’s a symbiosis between generations of style, fashion, and art. The old and the new.
Ehrmantraut’s artwork exudes a laid back, effortless, boho feeling, and that translates perfectly to Ehrmantraut’s phone case artwork here at FleeBee. Yet, despite that effortless feeling, the patterns Ehrmantraut employs are tight and complex.
It’s a stunning combination. Organic, too, and it’s no surprise to learn that Ehrmantraut counts nature as an influence.
We sat down with the artist to get a peek at what their art means to them, where they draw inspiration, and how they create their artwork.
